MASTERS ATHLETES: IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO GET STUCK IN!

A fascinating new study by British scientists has found that masters athletes who began training after the age of 50 were every bit as fit, powerful, lean and muscular as masters athletes who had trained all their lives (https://doi.org/10.3389/fphys.2019.01050). Moreover, there were no performance differences between late and early starters – good news for older newcomers to sport!
